Digital Certificate – Italy – What changes from August 6th
The surge in infections, due to the Delta variant, has pushed the Italian government to approve a new mandatory Green Pass. The new covid decree of July 2021 has changed the rules regarding the green pass.
The green certification becomes mandatory to be in possession for many businesses such as:
- Restaurants and bars for indoor service, no for drinks at the counter or for outdoor
- Shows
- Sporting events
- Museums
- Wellness center
- Hotels
- Festivals and fairs
- Conventions
What is the Eu Digital Certificate?
The green certificate will be a proof that a person:
· been vaccinated against COVID-19,
· had a negative test result
· had recovered from COVID-19
It can be used across all 27 Member States plus Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein.
Every European citizen, can download it or obtain a paper copy and it is free of charge. It is also available to non-EU nationals living legally in member states who have the right to travel to other member states.
In the UK does not yet accept it, but is working to reach agreements so foreign vaccination records can be recognised. Because the Great Britain is no longer in the EU, the certificate is not available to most Britons.
EU nationals vaccinated in the UK must check with their home countries to see if they are eligible.
Travellers will still need to carry a passport or other identification.
In Eu you can use the english NHS certificate.
How will the format of the Digital Certificate Pass look like?
The certificates will be issued in digital format, so they can be shown on a smartphone, or on paper. The QR code containing necessary key data as well as a digital signature. It is used to verify the authenticity and validity of the certificate.
