Chestnuts, Witches and… Magic in Rovenna
The charming village of Rovenna, in Cernobbio, is once again ready to welcome visitors for the 20th edition of “Castagne, Streghe e… Dintorni” – a festival that blends tradition, taste, and mystery. Organized by the Municipality of Cernobbio and the local association I Strii de Ruena, the event will fill the streets with shows, food, music, and autumnal enchantment.
Shops and village windows will be decorated with seasonal ornaments and mysterious touches, while local restaurants will offer special menus inspired by chestnuts, reimagined with creativity and a hint of magic.
The festival will take place over two festive days:
- Saturday, October 11 from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Sunday, October 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Visitors can enjoy street performances, live music, craft markets, food stalls, children’s workshops, and the irresistible flavors of roasted chestnuts, mulled wine, and chestnuts with whipped cream. The heart of the celebration will be the traditional Mercatino delle Corti, winding through Rovenna’s historic courtyards and alleys, offering typical products and artisanal creations.
To make participation easier, a shuttle bus service will run between Cernobbio and Rovenna:
