Historic Villa in Moltrasio with Garden and Lake Como View

In Moltrasio, a few steps from the shores of the lake, stands a prestigious historic Villa from the early twentieth century. Immersed in a lush garden of centuries-old olive trees, the property elegantly overlooks one of the most enchanting views of Lake Como.

The Villa
The property consists of two distinct bodies:

• The manor house, built at the beginning of the twentieth century as the main residence of the historic owner family. It is spread over three levels for a total of approximately 600 m2, with large rooms that retain original details such as the decorated tile floors from the 1960s, a living room with fireplace and a generously sized kitchen. The sleeping area, accessible from the scenic central staircase, includes four bedrooms with terracotta floors and two bathrooms. From the garden level you can access the suggestive vaulted cellars, partially dug into the rock, and the large panoramic terrace.
• The old inn, dating from 1700, which also once housed Garibaldi. Arranged on three staggered levels, it retains low ceilings typical of the time, Moltrasio stone slab floors and an imposing fireplace. It houses the living area on the ground floor and, on the upper floors, five bedrooms.

Inside the garden there is also a small chapel, still with the original stoup, and the ancient study of the Podestà of Moltrasio.

The Park
The land, of approximately 4,000 m2, is organized in crags with an open view of the lake. They are found there:

• over one hundred centuries-old olive trees, from which a renowned oil awarded by Gambero Rosso is obtained;
• a small bamboo forest hiding a rustic;
• an area dedicated to the vegetable garden and orchard.

The charm of the garden and the property provides a timeless atmosphere, where nature is intertwined with history.

Conditions and Access
The mansion needs restoration work to recover its authentic original splendor. It currently has two parking spaces within the park, from which the main entrance can be reached via a suggestive route among the olive trees.

From here, walking along the typical cobbled streets, you can reach the historic center with its lounge bars, traditional trattorias and ancient post offices, or go down towards the lake to the Lido and the renowned restaurants on the shore.
